Gluten free pizza bases + Nut free ‘cheese’ available, however please note that wheat flour and nuts are used throughout our kitchen so we can not guarantee no traces.
Weddings
We are very excited to extend our offerings to weddings!
Our plant-based pizza will add a touch of magic to your celebration and we would be honoured to serve them up on your special day.
We find that the pizzas, although vegan, are loved by all ages and preferences, proving to be a genuine crowd-pleaser. Its always a welcome surprise for meat eaters who discover how tasty a vegan pizza can be!
While our speciality lies in vegan catering, we also offer dairy cheese options upon request. we can recommend a brilliant menu to suit all tastebuds and are more than happy to adapt the menu to suit each couples unique preferences.

About us
Fire in the Shire is run by ourselves, Barney and Chantal and was born in the spring of 2021, out of love for vegan cooking, festivals, the planet and of course pizza! We began with local pop-ups and markets and are now proud to include weddings and festivals to our list of services.
Sustainability is at the core of our values. We buy seasonal produce from local suppliers wherever possible, ensuring the freshest ingredients, keeping our environmental impact low and supporting local growers and businesses at the same time.
We pride ourselves in making almost all of our pizza toppings from scratch including our dough and our much loved vegan ‘cheese’ made from soaked cashews. The inspiration for our pizzas comes from Italian and Mediterranean flavours with a vegan twist, ensuring they are always balanced, flavoursome and never boring!
Our compact mobile kitchen ensures swift service and high output, allowing us to create mouthwatering wood-fired pizzas right before your eyes.
Our Suppliers
We are proud to source the majority of our vegetables and herbs from The Edible Acre, a small family run market garden just outside of Dorchester! They use no-dig and regenerative growing practices to produce amazing, great tasting veg.
And for our Italian ingredients, Bridport based suppliers of incredible quality, imported Italian products, Mercato Italiano are our people!
